Pilots May wonder what happens if I get a DUI find out in this pilot [Music] minute any DUI or DWI should be reported in item 18V in Med Express your am will also check to see if you've had any prior DUI offenses with in the past 5 years the national driver registry will automatically perform a check but your AME will need to know if you had offences outside the statute of limitations or in a different state so what happens next you and your AME have 14 days to submit an alcohol event status report to the office of Aerospace medicine this report contains your personal statement regarding all substance use the documented blood alcohol content which of over 0.15 must be deferred to the FAA court and police reports including breathalyzer and sobriety test results your driving record for the past 10 years and any evidence of substance use treatment keep in mind if you refused A Roadside test it will be considered a failed test meaning a positive test you must submit a written report to FAA security within 60 days of a DUI DWI conviction or other motor vehicle action even if the DUI DWI is older than 60 days submit it anyway drinking and driving or drinking and flying just isn't worth your life or the life of those you love stay on the ground and call a ride share for more information click the links in the video description until next time see you up [Music] there
